Priced the job — now send it before you leave the driveway
A number in your head doesn’t win the job. ZipplyQuote turns this price into a clean, branded estimate on your phone, works offline on site, and lets the customer tap to pay a deposit on the spot. One-time $49, no subscription.
How square-foot pricing works
Pricing by the foot is simple on the surface: area × your rate. The money is in the details most people skip. Two coats of paint or two passes with the washer roughly doubles the work, so the calculator multiplies for that. Tricky surfaces, cuts, and offcuts waste material — the waste percentage covers it. And a small job costs you the same drive and setup as a big one, so a minimum charge keeps a 150-square-foot job from paying less than your gas.
What rate should I use?
There’s no universal “right” price per square foot — it swings with the trade, the surface, prep, your region, and how booked you are. Rather than copy a number off the internet, work it backward from your own costs: figure out your hourly rate, estimate how long the work takes per square foot, and add materials and the margin you want. Then this calculator turns that rate into a job price in one tap.

Frequently asked questions
How do I price a job by the square foot?
Area (length × width) × your price per square foot, then multiply by coats/passes and add a waste %. Apply a minimum charge so small jobs still pay. The calculator does all of it.
What’s a good price per square foot?
It depends on the trade, surface, prep, and region — there’s no single number. Plug in your own rate based on your real costs and target margin.
Why add a minimum charge?
Drive time and setup cost the same on a small job as a big one. A minimum makes sure the little jobs still cover your time. Enter one and it’s applied automatically.
