Terms of Service
You pay $49 once and get the Pro version of ZipplyQuote for life. You're paying for a license to use the software — you don't own the underlying app. We don't touch the money your customers pay you. If the app doesn't work for you, email us within 60 days and we'll refund you. Don't pirate the software, don't break the law with it, and don't expect us to be liable for your business decisions.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of ZipplyQuote, a software product operated by Brett Hawthorne, an individual operating as a sole proprietor doing business as "ZipplyQuote" (referred to throughout as "we," "our," or "us"), located in the State of Texas, United States.
By installing, opening, purchasing, or otherwise using ZipplyQuote — including the website at zipplyquote.com, the web app, or any installed (PWA) version of the app — you ("you," "your," or the "User") agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use ZipplyQuote.

1. The product
ZipplyQuote is a browser-based application that lets you create, save, and send estimates and quotes for service work, and generate payment-collection links to your own third-party payment provider (such as PayPal, Stripe, or Cash App).
ZipplyQuote stores your quote data locally on your device, in your browser's local storage. ZipplyQuote does not host an account system, does not require a login, and does not transmit your quote data, customer information, or business data to our servers. We do not have your data because, by design, the product never sends it to us.
The software is delivered "as a service" via the web — meaning you access the current version of the app at zipplyquote.com (or via the app installed to your device's home screen via Progressive Web App install). We may update the app from time to time without notice. The Pro version unlocks additional features via a license key that you enter into the app.
2. Free use, Pro purchase, and license grant
Free tier
You may use the free tier of ZipplyQuote without payment, subject to the limitations displayed in the app (currently: a cap on the number of saved quotes and a "Made with ZipplyQuote" footer line on output PDFs). The free tier is provided as-is with no support obligation on our part.
Pro Lifetime
If you purchase a Pro Lifetime license, you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, worldwide, perpetual license to use the Pro features of ZipplyQuote for your own personal or business use, subject to these Terms. "Perpetual" here means for as long as the software continues to operate; it does not obligate us to maintain or continue developing the software indefinitely (see Section 11).
One license per buyer
A single Pro Lifetime purchase covers use by one individual or one single-location small business operated by the purchaser. If you operate multiple distinct businesses or want to extend Pro to additional team members or business locations, please purchase additional licenses.
What you may not do with your license
- Resell, redistribute, sublicense, lease, or rent the software or your license key.
- Modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source of any non-public portion of the software.
- Use the software to send fraudulent, deceptive, or illegal estimates or invoices.
- Remove or alter the in-app branding except via legitimate Pro features that allow customization of your business branding on output PDFs.
- Use the software in any way that violates applicable law where you operate.
3. Payments to ZipplyQuote
Pro Lifetime purchases are processed by our payment partner, Lemon Squeezy (operated by Lemon Squeezy LLC). Lemon Squeezy is the Merchant of Record for your purchase, which means Lemon Squeezy — not us — handles your payment, your billing, applicable taxes (sales tax, VAT, GST), and your purchase receipt. Lemon Squeezy's terms and privacy policy apply to the payment portion of your transaction.
When you make a Pro purchase, you authorize Lemon Squeezy to charge your selected payment method for the purchase amount plus any applicable taxes. Your license key is issued and emailed to you by Lemon Squeezy on our behalf.
We do not process or collect your credit card data ourselves. If you have a billing question, you can contact us at support@zipplyquote.com and we will work with Lemon Squeezy to resolve it.
4. Customer payments (deposits collected through ZipplyQuote)
ZipplyQuote helps you generate payment links so your own customers can pay you deposits or invoice totals via your own payment provider account (PayPal, Stripe, Cash App, or similar). Important consequences of this design:
- We never receive, hold, custody, or process money owed to you by your customers. Those funds flow directly from your customer to your own third-party payment provider, under that provider's terms.
- We are not a payment processor, a money transmitter, an escrow service, or a regulated financial institution. We do not have visibility into whether your customer paid, when, or how much.
- You are solely responsible for your relationship with your customer, for the accuracy of the quote and any associated tax calculations, for honoring or disputing chargebacks, for issuing refunds, and for complying with any tax, contracting, licensing, lien, consumer protection, or industry-specific regulations that apply to your trade and jurisdiction.
- You are solely responsible for your own payment provider account (PayPal, Stripe, etc.) and for that provider's terms.
5. Refunds and the 60-day money-back guarantee
We offer a 60-day money-back guarantee on Pro Lifetime purchases. If within 60 days of your purchase you are not satisfied for any reason, email support@zipplyquote.com from the email address you used to purchase, and we will refund the purchase price in full. No questions, no forms, no friction.
Refunds are processed through Lemon Squeezy and typically arrive in your original payment method within 5–10 business days, subject to Lemon Squeezy's and your card issuer's processing times. After a refund, your Pro license is revoked and you should remove the license key from the app.
Refund requests made after 60 days from purchase are evaluated on a case-by-case basis at our reasonable discretion.
6. Acceptable use
You agree that you will not use ZipplyQuote:
- To create, send, or collect on quotes or invoices that are fraudulent, misleading, unauthorized, or unlawful.
- To impersonate another person or business.
- To violate any applicable contractor licensing, lien, consumer protection, tax, or trade regulation in your jurisdiction.
- To send unsolicited bulk communications (spam) to recipients.
- In a way that would cause us to violate any law or regulation, or expose us to legal liability.
We reserve the right to revoke a Pro license, refuse service, or refund a purchase if we reasonably believe these Terms have been violated.
7. Intellectual property
All rights in the ZipplyQuote software, including its design, branding, trademarks (including the word mark "ZipplyQuote" and the bolt logo), source code, and content, are owned by Brett Hawthorne. These Terms do not transfer any ownership rights in the software to you. You only receive the limited license described in Section 2.
Your data is yours. Anything you type into ZipplyQuote — quotes, customer names, prices, line items, business logo, photos — is your data. We do not claim any ownership rights in it, and (as described in Section 1 and our Privacy Policy) we do not receive or store it.
8. License keys, piracy, and honor
The Pro license check in ZipplyQuote is intentionally lightweight and operates largely on the honor system. You agree:
- Not to share your license key with anyone outside the scope of the license granted in Section 2.
- Not to publish, post, or otherwise distribute working license keys.
- Not to use a license key you did not legitimately purchase or receive.
We may invalidate license keys we reasonably believe to have been pirated, shared in bulk, or otherwise misused, without refund. Honest mistakes are treated honestly — if you think your key was incorrectly invalidated, email support@zipplyquote.com.
9. No warranties
The software is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to:
- Warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and accuracy.
- Warranties that the software will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
- Warranties that any defects will be corrected.
- Warranties that the software will continue to operate on future devices, operating systems, or browsers.
You assume all risk associated with using ZipplyQuote in your business, including the risk that a quote or invoice generated by the software contains an error.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event will Brett Hawthorne, his affiliates, or his agents be liable to you for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including but not limited to lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, lost business opportunity, harm to reputation, or any damages of any kind arising from or related to your use of (or inability to use) the software, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the software is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you actually paid to us for ZipplyQuote in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred US dollars ($100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or liability. To the extent such limitations cannot be enforced in your jurisdiction, our liability will be limited to the smallest extent permitted by law.
11. Changes to the software and termination
We may modify the software — including adding, removing, or changing features, design, or supported platforms — at any time. We will not intentionally remove core Pro features that are advertised on our pricing page at the time of your purchase without offering an equivalent or a refund on the affected portion of your purchase if you've held the license for less than 12 months.
We may terminate your license if you materially breach these Terms, particularly Sections 2, 6, or 8. If we terminate for breach, no refund is owed; if we terminate without cause, we will offer a pro-rated refund for any Pro Lifetime purchase made within the preceding 12 months.
You may stop using the software at any time without notice. You may also delete your local data via the app's "Reset" or by clearing your browser storage.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top and post the new Terms at zipplyquote.com/terms. Continued use of the software after a material change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you don't agree with a material change, your remedy is to stop using the software, and (if you've purchased Pro Lifetime within the prior 60 days) request a refund under Section 5.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles, and any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the software will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Texas, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.
If you are a consumer protected by mandatory consumer-protection laws of another jurisdiction (for example, an EU consumer), nothing in this section overrides your non-waivable rights under that law.
14. Class action waiver
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you and we each waive any right to participate as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class action, collective action, or representative proceeding arising out of or relating to these Terms or the software. Each side may bring claims only on an individual basis.
15. Miscellaneous
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.
No waiver
Our failure to enforce any right or provision is not a waiver of that right or provision.
Assignment
You may not assign these Terms or any rights under them without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms freely, including to a successor in the event of a sale of the business.
Entire agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the software and supersede any prior agreements.
Force majeure
We are not liable for any failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control (natural disasters, internet outages, payment processor outages, government action, etc.).
